The most helpful tool used in performing treatments using digital technology is the intra-oral scanner. After a lot of analysis of the market, we chose Medit's i500 scanner for the Perio Care clinic.

This is a device of the highest quality, with a great design, ergonomic, easy to handle and maintain. It has a small scanning tip, with which we can perform scans even in the narrowest spaces in the oral cavity. With its very high resolution and impressive scanning speed it achieves high quality and precision scans. The Medit i500 does not require special scanning powders or sprays, making the scanning process fast and pleasant, especially for patients. It uses a highly intelligent scanning algorithm that recognises previously scanned areas very quickly, ensuring maximum speed.

This scanner is capable of generating colour data that makes it much easier to delineate gum tissue from dental tissue.

Consequently, the use of this scanner, helps us a lot in the work of acquiring preoperative data, in archiving them, in communicating easier and faster with the dental laboratory, while helping us to improve our performance, being able to detect small imperfections that we make and that we can correct later.
